Description:

CDC?s Procurement and Grants Office has published a program announcement entitled,? Cooperative Agreement Program for the National Academic Centers of Excellence on Youth Violence Prevention.? $6,800,000 [this amount is an estimate, and subject to the availability of funds] will be available in fiscal year 2005 to fund approximately seven to ten awards. The purpose of this cooperative agreement is to establish up to ten National Academic Centers of Excellence (ACE) on Youth Violence Prevention, serving as national models for the prevention of youth violence. The purpose, of the Centers, is to help communities prevent youth interpersonal violence.
